BEAUTY TIPS
*Beautiful makeup always begins with beautiful skin! If you are wanting to change your skincare routine and try new products, always give your skin several months to adjust. New products can sometimes cause breakouts and irritations until your skin has time to adjust to the change. Therefore, you do not want to use a new skincare system just days before your wedding!
*Did you know that your eyebrows are an important factor in bringing shape and definition to your face and eyes? Before your wedding or special event, be sure to have your eyebrows groomed and shaped. You may want to consider having them professionally done if you are unsure about grooming them yourself. Here again, it is not recommended to wax, thread or pluck your eyebrows a day or two before your wedding or special event but to have this done at least a week (or even a few days) in advance to avoid any redness or irritations on the day of.
*Make sure to gently exfoliate your lips the night before your wedding or special event to ensure dry skin is removed. Followed by conditioning your lips with a nourishing balm the night before and morning of. Doing this will prevent dry and chapped lips, allowing your lip color and gloss to look perfect for your special day! I have also found rubbing a nourishing eye cream on your lips (yes, eye cream!) is very effective in treating dry lips.
*We all know the importance of using a daily moisturizer with SPF to protect our skin from the sun, but on your wedding day (or special event) it is best to avoid using SPF on your face. The SPF can actually make your face appear washed out and white in photos. Make sure that you still moisturize before your makeup application though!
*Give false eye lashes a try! Lashes will enhance your eyes and often less eye makeup is needed. Many of my bridal clients, love the look false lashes give them.
